...has not changed in a while.

Well it has now.

So I guess that's it.

Uh... Yeah.

Laughing all the way to the asylum,

Blender Movies

Wed Jul 1, 2009, 8:16 PM
These are two great short movies (10 minutes each) that have been made with Blender:

Project Orange - Elephant's Dream
[link]
Elephants Dream is the story of two strange characters exploring a capricious and seemingly infinite machine. The elder, Proog, acts as a tour-guide and protector, happily showing off the sights and dangers of the machine to his initially curious but increasingly skeptical protege Emo. As their journey unfolds we discover signs that the machine is not all Proog thinks it is, and his guiding takes on a more desperate aspect.

Project Peach - Big Buck Bunny (This one was my favourite)

Just check out some of the production photos and screenshots here: [link]

I just thought these were so awesome you had to see them,
Patrick.

For those of you who can't afford Photoshop or Illustrator - or even those who have them already but want to try something new - here's a great list of free alternative programs.

Obviously you won't have time to check them all (or will you...?) but comment on whatever ones you do check out. Or if you're confused, just ask and I'll recommend one for you.

Boogadee-woogadee,

Live your life properly; or do not live it at all.

...And there they were. The gates of life opened before me in all of their glory. The simplicity of it mingled with the complexities and created within me a feeling that I knew that I should not be allowed to feel. There was a warmth in everything around me, even in the cold stares of strangers as they struggled to comprehend the battle that was raging inside of me. Then, as quickly as it had appeared, it disappeared. Leaving me standing once more in the cold, without a purpose. Without a meaning.

What happened...

Mon Jun 8, 2009, 1:14 AM
...To me submitting art? I'm not sure, actually. I got lazy and my creativity slumped. After some doodling I drew something that I'm working on in Photoshop, it will be up either tomorrow or Friday if I feel it's good enough.

Within the past few days I've been cooking more, at least. My favourite dish at the moment is Risotto, and today alone I've eaten about four bowls. I feel so fat but, almost sadly, I haven't gained any weight... :'(

This week coming up is all tests, exams and assignments.

Damn.

I also have a cold. Basically it's just a blocked nose, but do you know what that blocked nose does? It makes me breath through my mouth when I sleep. Not only do I feel like a caveman or hill billy, but it dries out my throat so that when I wake up I have a sore throat and a blocked nose. And since I'm breathing through my mouth I'm getting dehydrated faster which is giving me headaches.

Basically, if we eliminate the blocked nose I think the world would be a better place.

Using up all the tissues in the house,
Patrick.

Atheism is not for happy people. For example: you need to be reasonably depressed to believe that when you die, you become nothing but a memory. And when the people who remember you die, you no longer exist. You do not exist now, you will not exist again, and you never have existed before.
